Quick alarms are simply reminders/alarms that aren't attached to tasks.

Click on the  button or type F9 to bring up the Quick Alarms dialog.

Set New Alarm: Pops up a dialog where you can enter a new alarm

Delete Alarm: Deletes the selected alarm.

OK: Closes the Quick Alarm Dialog
